Coolest dive bar I’ve been to in a minute. Sat at the bar and mingled with the regulars. Lobster roll was great. They know they are a dive bar. They embrace it. It’s a fun experience.
Unpretentious eatery that, mid-winter on a quiet Sunday afternoon, brought exactly the Cape seafood experience I was looking for. In town and wanting to introduce my west coast friend to east coast lobster — we got the fish and chips, quahog chowder, and lobster roll to share. The lobster was tender enough that we could enjoy the different textures of tail meat vs. claw meat. This is a local eatery—play to its strengths, order local food, try one of their local beers, and enjoy. We did. ...and a shout out to our lovely waitress, who made my California friend feel welcome.
The Orange Whiskey Sour was amazing, and the Clam Chowder / Quahog Baked Clam Combo was amazing. The bartender was outstanding. Highly recommend to anyone traveling through Falmouth, and I'll definitely stop back again the next time I visit Cape Cod..
We always try to find a place new when we visit Cape Cod and this time it was Quahog Republic. I am glad we picked this place! The ambiance of a local dive bar where the other patrons know each other and playful banter fill the bar. Lots of local beer selections and they even had a blend of whiskey they had produced with Cleveland Underground. The food was amazing. We got the quahog and chowder, chili fries, and chili. Every singe one of the dishes was perfection. Having been out to a fancy dinner the night before, I would rather have been here!
Came in for clam chowder as we were on a Cape Cod clam chowder tour. Best chowder we've had so far. It's supposed to be a "dive" bar but it's got decent food and a good mix of beverages. Very local, had a good chat with the folks at the bar and the bartender is super friendly.
This dive bar continues to be one of my favorite goto restaurants year round! They are open and pretty busy. Great menu selection plus weekly specials. Pretty good selection of on tap beers and their bartender makes excellent drinks! Checkout my picture of Bloody Mary-with bacon and olives!! My other favorite is lobster grilled cheese sandwich and of course their chowder! This time we happened to drop in on a Friday night and they had live entertainment! Great place!!!
Their wings!! Their bloody merry!! Their sea food!! They're all amazingly delicious! The staff are so friendly and it seems like they even have music some nights and there's a pool table there too. Great atmosphere and experience in overall! We'll be back.
We had an event on the cape and this seemed like the logical place for us to end our bike run at. The live music was a plus. The service the food the drinks were all well done. They have games TVs and lots of space to gather. Prices were reasonable and we will definitely come back next year.
